Nonviolence Book Study Group
The Center for Spiritual Living in Temecula Valley in partnership with the Association for Global New Thought is hosting a seven week book study series that follows the book Beyond Forgiveness: Reflections on Atonement by Phil Cousineau. The series begins Thursday, February 2 and lasts through Thursday, March 15.
The series is being held in honor of the Season for Nonviolence, a national 64-day educational, media, and grassroots campaign dedicated to demonstrating that nonviolence is a powerful way to heal, transform and empower our lives and our communities According to the Center’s Administrator, Berma Neville, “This seven week series spiritually transforms those who have wondered how visionaries such as Mohandas Ghandi, Desmond Tutu, Nelson Mandela, Mother Teresa and Martin Luther King Jr. were able to link forgiveness and atonement to bring about nonviolent peace and reconciliation. By contemplating beliefs and practices and sharing stories, we can open our hearts and together create a more just world.”
The book Beyond Forgiveness: Reflections on Atonement can be purchased on Amazon for around $14.
Cost: Free. Location: Center for Spiritual Living, 26871 Hobie Circle, Ste. A-1, Murrieta, CA. Time: 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 951-541-3900 or visit AGNT.org and CSLTV.org.
