Bridge the Gap from Soul to Cell

A new book by Dr. Joyce Whiteley Hawkes, Cell-Level Healing: A Bridge from Soul to Cell, details how thoughts can change the way cells function, to help repair and renew the body. Through a series of profound, yet simple exercises, Hawkes demonstrates that healing is a basic part of human nature and teaches readers how to tap into these innate restorative abilities.
The book was inspired by personal experience. The day a leaded glass window tipped from its lofty display directly onto her head, Hawkes had already logged 15 years as a respected biophysicist, firmly grounded in scientific, fact-based research. Yet, an entirely new reality came to light when Hawkes, unconscious and covered with heavy shards of glass, endured a momentary, yet powerful near-death experience. “Suddenly, reality shifted, and I was no longer confined to my crumpled body collapsed on the floor,” she writes.
Hawkes moved her lab to the intersection of science and spirituality, added a master’s degree in pastoral ministry to her Ph.D. in biophysics, and began a hands-on exploration into the indigenous healing traditions of Southeast Asia. Filled with thought-provoking stories and photographs, Cell-Level Healing invites readers to explore their own intrinsic powers of transformation and regeneration.
