Whole Foods Market Opens in Encinitas
Whole Foods Market, a natural and organic foods supermarket and the nation’s first certified organic grocer, will become the anchor tenant for the new 40,000-square-foot Pacific Station urban retail living space development in Encinitas. The doors are scheduled to open at 9 a.m., June 29.
Whole Foods Market Encinitas will offer a wide variety of natural and organic produce, meats, seafood and specialty items. The 23,000-square-foot store will showcase locally grown and produced items from the greater San Diego area, as well as national brands. In addition to groceries, the store will feature a courtyard eating area, where customers can relax and enjoy freshly prepared sushi, sandwiches, pizza and prepared foods, coffee and cold drinks.
“Pacific Station is a great space with a wide variety of attractions for the community to enjoy. This location, with the first new retail space in downtown Encinitas in more than 20 years, is an ideal choice for us to introduce Whole Foods Market to the Encinitas neighborhood,” says Patrick Bradley, president of Whole Foods’ South Pacific Region. “Whether it is ingredients for preparing a delicious meal at home or a quick, convenient meal to take to the beach, we have everything our customers need and are excited to showcase all the best of natural and organic foods.”
