Wolf Day at Dexter's Deli Del Mar
Feb 28, 2012 12:10PM
On Sunday, March 25 from noon to 3 p.m., all are invited to Dexter’s Deli in Del Mar to learn about the holistic healing benefits of feeding your dogs and cats fresh raw food.
Holistic veterinarian, Stephen Blake, will present his views on holistic healing and the raw food connection. Plus, attendees will get a chance to learn about the California Wolf Center in Julian and why they feed the wolves raw food.
The California Wolf Center is one of the largest host facilities for the Mexican Wolf Species Survival Plan and currently houses several packs of critically endangered Mexican wolves, a subspecies of the gray wolf that is currently being reintroduced in the Southwestern United States. Aside from this important conservation work, the California Wolf Center’s public educational programs have helped tens of thousands of people learn about the intelligent, social nature of the wolf.
The event will help educate pet owners on feeding their pets naturally and offer alternatives to commercial diets. Not only will attendees get to hear from the experts, they will get a chance to watch the wolves live via streaming video.
Vendors of raw food diets and other holistic care products will be on hand throughout the event. Free samples will be available.
Cost: Free. Location: 1229 Camino Del Mar, Del Mar, CA. For more information, call 858-720-1503 or visit DextersDeli.com.
