2nd Annual Cardiff Kook Run
The 2nd annual Cardiff Kook Run 10K and 5K is being held from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 3.
The scenic 10k loop will begin at Moonlight Beach, pass under the famous Cardiff Kook along the 101, rise above some of the most popular surf breaks in San Diego and then make its way down to Cardiff State Beach. Then runners get to experience it all again on their way back. For public safety, the 5K turnaround is north of the "Cardiff Kook,” and will not run past the Cardiff Kook due to train and traffic crossing at Chesterfield Drive and Coast Highway 101.
Locals, kids, adults, serious runners and kooks alike are invited to run—for life, for community, for a really fun time.
The Run was created to promote healthy living while giving back to the community. All proceeds from the event will go directly into improving Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Parking is available at Moonlight Beach, Encinitas Coaster Station, City Hall and Cottonwood Creek Park. To register, visit CardiffKookRun.com.
