Tri-City Medical Center Sponsors Wellness Week 2013
The Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association (DEMA) announced today that Tri-City Medical Center will be the exclusive Gold Sponsor of its 3rd annual Wellness Week being held January 19-26. Wellness Week is a week-long program of events and special offers that allows people to learn about and experience ways to improve their physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
The program begins with the Wellness Week Festival at the Encinitas Branch of the San Diego County Library on Saturday, January 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Around 50 exhibitors will host booths and activities, both inside the library and on the outside parking lot. There will be free health screenings, mini-treatments, cooking demonstrations and performances, plus many unique wellness activities for kids.
During the week that follows, the public is invited to take advantage of numerous other free classes, treatments, consultations and presentations held at the library and at other participating organizations.
Tri-City Medical Center will be providing free blood pressure, body fat and joint screenings at the opening day festival. During the course of Wellness Week, Tri-City will showcase some of its advanced healthcare services, from Robotic Spine Surgery and Vitamin E Knee Replacement at the Medical Center to Foam Roll and Qi Gong classes at its state-of-art Wellness Center.
“We’re excited about partnering with DEMA to present the 3rd annual Wellness Week,” says Tri-City CEO Larry Anderson. “This is a unique opportunity to introduce the public to some of the latest advancements in healthcare, especially robotics, and to show how our nationally recognized services can help them lead healthier lives.”
