The story began with a Great Dane named Moguls who suffered from a variety of health issues, including a bad case of skin allergies. Jeff Baker, Moguls owner, wasn’t too keen on the monthly visits to the vet for cortisone shots. So Baker decided to use his background in pharmacology and nutrition to help his furry pal gain back his health. And that is when Canine Caviar, the only alkaline pet food on the market and the first holistic pet food, was born. Moguls lived a long, healthy life and his legacy continues as the pet food created in his honor helps improve other pets’ health worldwide.

According to Baker, “Alkaline living is a lifestyle and pets benefit from it, too. When the body is more alkaline, it sends more oxygen to the blood which creates a healthier internal environment and our bodies can repair themselves better.” He asserts that an alkaline pet diet is easy to implement. “Our pets don’t have to break habits like waking up every morning and drinking coffee,” he says.
