6th Annual Healthy Living Festival
Don’t miss the Healthy Living Festival, San Diego’s largest health and fitness expo, being held April 8 and 9 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. This amazing event incorporates everything imaginable to help promote and educate health and wellness including 30 free lectures and workshops where experts will share new ideas about lifestyle changes that can help attendees keep better fit, eat healthier, improve sleep, prevent disease and lower stress. In addition, the event features cooking demonstrations throughout each day that include sampling as well as healthy cooking tips from renowned chefs. In addition, there will be free yoga, qigong and Pilates classes, belly dancing shows, Zumba and karate demonstrations.
The biggest attraction of the event is its 180 exhibitors offering the latest in health and fitness products and services, who are coming to Del Mar from across the nation. Attendees can stroll through the festival and sample healthy foods and beverages, visit with health professionals and sports and fitness experts, receive a massage, learn about the latest in weight management, nutrition, skincare and green living products or find out about the benefits of aromatherapy or homeopathy.
Several Natural Awakenings advertisers will be speaking at the event, including Dr. Jeffrey Anshel, owner of E Street Eyes, whose lecture Smart Medicine for your Eyes will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday; Carolyn Gross, with her talk titled Treatable and Beatable: Tools for Healing at 11 a.m. on Sunday; Dr. Kenneth Howayeck will share information about Metabolic Balance at 4 p.m. on Sunday; and RX-C representative Riana A Moser will talk about Medicinal Cannabis: The Basics at 1 p.m. Sunday.
