Journeying and transitioning together with laughter, love and light. Viva la Mexico and friendship.

I love this month’s cover and theme on multilevel healing. I can totally relate and know many others who can, too. Life these days can be demanding, and PTSD is at an all-time high. If I could be granted one wish, it would be to live off-the-grid for a minimum of 30 days. If this is your wish too, be sure to check out my Publisher’s Pick on page 13.

My dear friend Heidi and I recently carved a week out of our schedules to be partially off-the-grid at a cozy surf resort in Mexico and it did us a world of good. While we don’t always have the time for such trips, we do have the time to become aware of our stress levels and listen to the havoc it creates in our bodies and our relationships. We also can show compassion to those suffering from stress and mental and physical offshoots. Staying busy and judging others is an easy way to derail and project our own issues onto others.

I came back my first day of vacation like the energizer bunny. My batteries wore down quickly though, as they’ve been doing more often in my later years. While yoga, meditation and surfing all help me stay balanced, I recognized and accepted that I could use more help due to my personal life history. I started working with Dr. Danielle Chavalarias, CEO of InnerOptimal Inc. (see page 8), and what an eye opener that’s been—or, should I say, brain opener. Dr. Danielle diagnosed my history without my having to tell her. All she had to do was study my brain waves. That’s the biofeedback end—and it gets better as the neurological feedback has already started optimizing my brain functions. Yes, I’m signed up and on course to be the best version of me. I’ve also been immersed in studying the Enneagram with Rolf practitioner, Michael Mitchell. The Enneagram helps you utilize your dominant personality in a healthy way. It can enhance your good relationships and help sever any toxic ones. Michael and I will be announcing and hosting “Personality Parties” utilizing the Enneagram (see page 24). I welcome you all to subscribe to my newsletters to enhance your lives, too, via our abundance of passionate professional practitioners.

With this being our yoga month, stretch your minds and search for truth and not what the media wants us to believe.

I’m so thrilled to be on this new journey with Natural Awakenings and I leave you with the words of one of my favorite teachers, Thich Nhat Hanh, “I have arrived. I am home. My destination is each step.”

I mentioned in my recent May Women’s Wellness issue that June was going to be our men’s issue.
