The 13th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer
The 13th Annual Cardiff Dog Days of Summer, presented by Cardiff 101 Main Street and the City of Encinitas, is being held August 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Encinitas Community Park. This free event features over 100 dog-related vendors, rescue groups, pet adoption agencies, and a carefully curated “Maker’s Market Row.” Activities include dog contests, live music, kids' activities, a beer and wine garden, food trucks and more.
“Does your dog like to strut its stuff?” asks Roberta Walker, Executive Director of Cardiff 101 Main Street. “Due to popular demand, we’ll be extending the time allocated for each dog contest category to allow for more contestants to enter. Compete in a contest and you could take home a ribbon for first, second or third place, along with a goodie bag filled with cool prizes.” Registration is the day of the event from 10: 45 to11:15 a.m. Entry fees are $5 per entry paid in cash or $6 for credit/debit. Look out for a special appearance by City of Encinitas Mayor Catherine Blakespear who will be announcing contest winners. Live music by local performers will be featured on the main stage until 6 p.m. following the dog contests.
Attendees are also encouraged to stop by the Cardiff 101 Opportunity Drawing booth to purchase tickets for a chance to win cool gear.
Location: 425 Santa Fe Dr., Encinitas. For more information, visit Cardiff101.com.
