IrieCBD

Game-Changing Products with a Bright Future

Kin Jung, director of marketing and sales for IrieCBD, ended up working for the company in a very organic manner. While nursing a sports injury, Jung spent a week mostly hobbling around on crutches or lying in bed. Motivated by his pain and lack of mobility, Jung sought out a solution when he discovered IrieCBD Pain Cream. He began using the product and it worked wonders. Little did he know a pain relief cream would soon change the course of his life. A week later, and much to his doctor’s disbelief, he turned in his crutches.  The following week he was dancing at a Dead & Company show. The reason behind his speedy recovery was not lost on him. “I knew it was the CBD pain cream. I called Irie and told them how much their product helped me. And then, I asked if there were any job opportunities available,” he recalls.

Lucky for Jung, there was an opening in the sales and marketing department. Shortly thereafter, he was invited to interview with this socially conscious California-based CBD company. “The more I learned about Irie during that interview, the more I loved everything about what the company stands for,” he says. “Their philosophy resonated so much with my value system. Even the name Irie, which means ‘everything is going to be OK,’ felt good to me. During the interview process, I discovered that everybody who works at Irie just wants to be of service, and that really was an exciting prospect.”

Jung joined the Irie family and has been enthusiastically sharing the story about their products ever since. “I feel more alignment with this career path than anything I’ve ever done in my life. My work feels joyful; I love the Irie company culture. We operate from a place of integrity in everything that we do. We’re moving through this world in a conscious, positive way that feels good and right while creating products that are made with a lot of joy and love,” he affirms.

In addition to that joy and love, Jung is passionate about sharing something even more amazing, and that is the science and technology behind Irie products. “Science informs every one of the products we create. Rick Potts, Irie co-founder and formulator, partners with cannabinoid researchers to create these science-based formulas. Our team recognizes that we’re providing a product to many people that have compromised immune systems. With that in mind, all our hemp is grown to clean, green, organic standards on USDA certified land. It all starts with the soil and we test from soil to oil. Everything in our product line has to be clean enough for our customers.”

Jung is very optimistic about the future of hemp and believes we are in a game-changing moment in modern American history, thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, which includes the Hemp Farming Act of 2018. According to the website Cannagreed.com, the Bill will “remove hemp as … a controlled substance, legalizing the crop under federal law, which will allow CBD to be legally sold in all 50 states. The bill, which has the support of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, is awaiting congressional approval, which would replace the 2014 Farm Bill, which expires on September 30.”

“This is truly a game-changing point in history. Hemp is in the process of becoming 100 percent federally legal. The deadline for the bill to pass is September 30, so by the time this issue hits the street, hopefully, we will have made history. Hemp is a game-changing resource. More than 25 thousand amazing products can be made from this sustainable, renewable and carbon negative plant. The legalization of hemp will create a significant impact from a human and environmental health perspective. There are so many opportunities for hemp to really make a difference. It’s exciting.”

Jung says that a huge thanks goes out to the those in the cannabis industry who have been working for more than 40 years to promote the healthful benefits of this product. “It’s been a long process, but the shackles are coming off. Plant medicine is the wave of the future. It feels good, solves problems naturally, and helps put people’s health back into their own hands.”
