Eight-Week Stress Reduction Course
Julie Chippendale, RN, BSN, certified yoga instructor and mindfulness teacher announces her upcoming Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course being held on Monday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m. March 12 to April 30 at Scripps Encinitas Hospital.
The 8-week course is geared toward individuals interested in being an active participant in changing their health while achieving a greater sense of well-being. "It is designed to guide you in becoming familiar on how your mind works," shares Chippendale. "While 'control' is not the goal of MBSR, you may begin to see that you have more choices of where and how you give your attention. Participants report living more in the present moment and find it easier to plan for the future without living in the future as well as understanding the past without dwelling on the past."
